MAU - Slayers - Shadows Of Things That Will Be, As Seen By Bill

This one is meant to be read as a Christmas story, but due to complications I wasn't able to finish it in time.

The plot of the arc is currently in the calm before the storm. I avoided using any of the villains because of this, I wanted Faith and Buffy to have a moment of happiness before the next part of the story.

Also if anyone is curious, Faith does know R's real name and has for some time. She calls him R out of habit and possibly for the same reason she calls Buffy B.

This also contains another reference to Allen W's Faith and probably the last of this arc. There is also a reference to a character I'm building the story towards. I hope no one has guessed it yet.

MAU - Slayers - The More Things Change...

I had a lot of trouble writing this one. It mainly must have come from a rewrite done very late in the process of the story before. Mainly Buffy asking Faith to get some help concerning her time with Dennis. The original story dealt with Buffy and Faith at a mall and later getting involved with some MAU users. Given the tone towards the end of the last story, it didn't feel right. That story may show up later, but will probably have to wait till the next arc. This story happens to to be the 100th MAU story on Fictionmania, which is why Agents C & D from many of Elrod W's stories show up in a cameo.

I'm not very happy with the story and wouldn't have even uploaded it except to keep parts of the plot going. Such as the Dennis storyline, Faith's recovery, and setting up the plans of the Big Bad.

MAU - Slayers - Everything Is Slipping Away

This arc is going to be a little bit longer than the first, so a good bit of stuff is setting the story up. I'm trying to combine that with actually advancing the plot, such as with Faith's current storyline. This is actually a rather recent concept I went with. But given what she went though, it made sense to me. The next story deals with this some more.

I didn't find this to be a pleasant story to write and it may be a little darker than I planned when I first starting planning the series. Faith is going to through a dark path during this arc, but things will improve.

Been having weird dreams lately. Nothing but white all around me, pure blinding light. Like some scene from the Matrix. I hear Faith distantly, but I can't find her.

Hey R, heard about what happened. I'm sorry, the guys in the lab are all hoping things work out. But I don't think there is any need to worry. Remember that guy we found a few years ago? The one with the psychic powers? Well he's been a little more active than usual lately and I think he's been seeing your two friends. I'm including a transcript of the recording.

Soon they will come to me, the fighters of darkness.

Bodies not born, but chosen from allies turned enemies turned allies.

The friends now partners, struggling against their own selves.

One strong in body and spirit, the other strong yet haunted by the darkness within.

Coming for guidance, unaware of the storm approaching.

The path ahead, dark and dangerous.

The destination, glorious and wonderful.

A fear of the past, an innocent betrayed by the one she trusted.

This has happened before, this will happen again.

The second, seen as the first by her unseen enemy.

They know not what they do and can never be forgiven.

The rivers of red will flow as the first seeks revenge.

Revenge is a forest, easy to get lost.

Lost in shadows, they will find her, the first of their kind.

She knows her destiny, told by shadows of her past.

She is coming back, this is five by five.

The fighters reunited in spirit, then body.

Their path is long, they need each other for the journey.

The once unthinkable destination, her fear replaced with joy.

The one born of hope, she will save us.

That's all I could get right now, even I couldn't figure out all of it. But I'm pretty sure a few of them plainly refer to Faith and Buffy. Call me, I'm worried about you.

FROM: Agent S, Office 1031

RE: Missing Agent

I am requesting all available agents in the search of the Agent known as Faith. She disappeared during a mission to recover an active MAU in the hands of hostile entities. The entities were destroyed during the mission, but both Faith and the MAU are missing. It is believed by both Agent R and the Agent known as Buffy that she was kidnapped by someone at the location.

RE: Missing Agent Update

I understand the reasons by the Head Office being against devoting all resources towards the search. But I disagree with stopping the investigation completely. Faith has been nothing but a valuable Agent in her time her and would be a loss to the Agency if she is not found. That is why I am allowing Agent R and Buffy to continue patrolling the nearby area. I am also devoting a daily patrol by select Agents of my choosing.
